Lunar Passages
Many
times during a month the Moon passes by bright stars and planets, and often we
are treated to nice pairings or groupings of these objects.
As shown in this view set for 0645 CDT (early o'clock!) on April 22nd, the Waning crescent Moon will occult or pass in front of the Moon, for a time blocking our view of Venus. In Kansas City Venus will disappear behind the Moon at approximately 0730 CDT and will reappear aroun 0815. |
